FOR THE MUSIC ONLY

After 25 years of playing music live across this country, I found three common denominators: First, every musician I knew truly played for love. Second, none of us were paid fairly for our work. Finally, most of the clubs were dingy, unpleasant places to play and appreciate the music. So, Julie and I decided to form a not-for-profit venue to host concerts where all of the net proceeds will be paid directly to the musicians. We have outfitted our custom designed performance space with the very best equipment in a beautiful setting. These are the organizing principles of FOR THE MUSIC ONLY. It is our mission statement. It is our dream. We will support musicians of nearly every stripe and style: Jazz, classical, rock, reggae, and singer songwriters. The only mandate is that you play your music well and with heart. We hope that all of you who play music, will take advantage of our venue. We hope that all of you who love and support live music, will come on down to NEW HOPE, PA to listen, dance, enjoy, and support FOR THE MUSIC ONLY!

We are now approaching our 1st birthday, and the shows have been great! ORGANISSIMO grooved. SLO-MO rocked the house. THE HUDSON RIVER RATS amazed. CHRIS HARFORD AND THE BAND OF CHANGES not only raised the roof, they blew it right off it’s hinges! And EVERY show SOLD OUT! Huge THANKS to everyone who has come out and made this experiment work!!
